Farmers Clubs

The Farmers Club project is a 5 year program where:
  • The first 3 years - focuses on training the farmers in basic knowledge about sustainable farming

  • The last 2 years - concentrates on cash crop production and effective ways of processing the produce

 

   

 


 

As a Development Instructor, some of your task will be:

 

Working with the community to promote cooperation and development.

Make or assist in community meetings and events.

Organize or collaborate in agriculture and health workshops.

 

Promote good agricultural practices

Encourage crop diversification, crop rotation, cover crops and inter‐cropping, and pot hold planting.

Promote the most nutritious vegetables and herbs and secure that the best varieties are used.

Teach the farmers which vitamins and minerals their bodies need and which vegetables they can grow

to get them.

 

Assisting the project leader with administration, communication, information and public relations.

Write reports and artcles for newsletters.

Assist in the project’s record‐keeping, produce statistics and analyse the information gathered.
