Practical actions
You will be a teacher, a mobilizer and an administrator. You will write reports. You will spread information. You will talk with the families.
Lead the families into establishing vegetable gardens and compost pits; building latrines; constructing a pre-school for the community.
Training
You will train the people at the project; from youth club leaders to preschool teachers to Village Action Coordinators to Area Leaders and HIV/AIDS training to the staff or the volunteers running this part of the program.
Environmental habits
You will focus on environmental issues such as water conservation, tree planting and sustainable agricultural methods such as contour planting.
Basic health and hygiene among the families
You will also organize and lead practical actions, such as malaria prevention actions or cleaning actions in the village, or building dish racks or firewood saving stoves together with the families.
Income generating projects
Money earning activities are high on the agenda of any Child Aid project and skills training or setting up small businesses.
Partnership and sponsorship
Raise funds for the operation and expansion of the school by identifying possible partners, meeting with them, finding out in what way they can support the school, negotiating with the partners and writing proposals to partners.
